Americana Fiberworks

The Americana Fiberworks program is a women’s arts and educational group designed to support the positive integration of refugee and immigrant women into the Louisville community using a common interest in the fiber arts. Participants help one another develop confidence, skills, and resources necessary to identify and pursue goals for themselves and their families as they integrate to their new home in Louisville.

Americana Fiberworks

Tuesday - Thursday | 12 pm - 3 pm

Sewing, crocheting, knitting, and weaving are tuaght 3 times a week throughout the year.

Fiber Arts Education

Participants learn about saving money, banking, and other ways to help invest their supplemental income from their sold products.

Financial Literacy

Through community partnerships, participants learn about marketing, salesmanship, and starting their own business.

Entrepreneur Skills

Participants find social support within the group while feeling comfortable practicing English during class.

Shop original one of one pieces created by Fiberworks.

The Fiberworks program has an online store full of oringially made, 1 of 1 pieces created by our Fiberworks participants. Each sale support the fiberworks program as well as the artisan who created the sold product.
